MEGACON CARLISLE

All going to plan, I'll be exhibiting at Megacon in Carlisle this coming Saturday with my good pal Gary Bainbridge.  It's being held at Richard Rose Central Academy near the city centre, from 1pm onwards.

As I've discussed before, comic conventions in the UK are mostly Southern England/London orientated, and for many years there was nothing being put on of any note anywhere north of Leeds and south of Glasgow.  These areas are untapped markets for fanboys and girls, and so it makes no sense to be ignoring them.  However, in December there was the Canny Comic Con in my adopted home town of Newcastle, and now Megacon in Carlisle, a city I spent many a day in during my childhood growing up in the Scottish Borders.  Like the CCC, Megacon is newly established and starting small, but it should be actively encouraged by comic book fans in the area.  If you live nearby or fancy the trip, get yourself along.

I'm aiming to get a limited run of prints made of my recent little film/TV portraits to sell and Megacon will be the first time you'll be able to get your hands on them.
